La sociedad está cambiando a grandes pasos, y todo ello es debido a los avances de la
tecnología. Este trabajo está centrado principalmente en los desarrollos de la imagen
digital, cuyos antecesores son en primera instancia la pintura, seguida de la fotografía.
Ya las imágenes no tienen que ser reales para que puedan ser representadas, porque
tanto el retoque como las falsas realidades están al alcance de la mano de cualquier
usuario. A su vez, la imagen ya no es ni estática ni plana, ya que la imagen en movimiento
(video), la imagen 3D y la realidad virtual se están abriendo camino en esta sociedad
tecnológica. Hay que mentalizar y educar a los usuarios acerca de estos avances y seguir
determinando hacia dónde se dirige la imagen. ¿Llegaremos a vivir en una realidad
irreal?
Society is changing by leaps and bounds, and all this is due to the advances in technology. This work is mainly focused on the developments of the digital image, whose ancestors are, in the first instance, painting followed by photography. Right now the images do not have to be real to be represented, because both retouching and false realities are available to any user nowadays. Moreover, pictures are no longer either static or flat, as the moving image (video), 3D image and virtual reality are making headway in this technological society. It should be our work to educate users about these developments and continue to determine where the image is going. Will we become used to live in an unreal reality?
