Abstract

El Trabajo Fin de Grado trata de visibilizar las distintas dificultades que experimentan las familias que tienen un/a menor con Síndrome de Down, en lo que se refiere a las discriminaciones que experimentan en el ámbito sanitario, educativo y social. La metodología que se ha seguido ha sido cualitativa, mediante el método de estudio de casos que ha empleado la técnica de investigación de la entrevista en profundidad a los diferentes agentes sociales implicados en el caso estudiado. Previamente se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica de la literatura existente. Como resultados se ha obtenido una historia de vida que ha derivado en un diagnóstico social como guía herramienta para abordar y planificar una intervención social para una familia que tiene un menor con Síndrome de Down con el fin de mejorar, desde la perspectiva del Trabajo Social, la calidad de vida y la inclusión social del menor y su familia.

The Final Degree Proyect tries to make visible the different difficulties experienced by families who have a minor with Down Syndrome, in what refers to the discriminations they experience in the health, educational and social field. The methodology that has been followed has been qualitative, through the case study method that has used the research technique of the in-depth interview to the different social agents involved in the case studied. Previously, a literatura reviw of the existing literatura has been carried out. As a result, a life history has been obtained that has resulted in a social diagnosis as a tool guide to approach and plan a social intervention for a family that has a minor with Down Syndrome in order to improve, from the perspective of Social Work, the quality of life and social inclusion of te minor and his family.
