[EN]The aim of the present study was to analyze the association between physical variables and language of a preschool children group. The sample was composed of 55 schoolchildren (30 schoolgirls and 25 schoolboys) aged 57,53 months old ±3,42 years old. Coordination was evaluated through the Test of Gross Motor Development Second Edition (TGMD-2); balance was analysed using the test of static and dynamic balance. To obtain the evaluation of the dependent variable, the test of Lenguaje Oral de Navarra-Revisada (PLON-R) was used. Age, gender and mothers’ educational level were used as co-variables. The results show the lack of association between children with a higher level in the different physical variables and a higher linguistic capacity. Nonetheless, based on similar studies that do show a positive relationship, the implementation of projects involving physically active contents is suggested, in order to ameliorate the influential aspects in the academic performance of students.
