Resumen
[ES] Este trabajo se centra en el análisis de la satisfacción laboral dado su creciente impacto en el
desarrollo de las organizaciones actuales. Para ello, se revisan los principales enfoques
teóricos sobre motivación y satisfacción en el ámbito de la empresa.
Con el objetivo de determinar si los factores de satisfacción laboral están relacionados y
comprobar si existen o no diferencias en la percepción de los trabajadores sobre los elementos
que contribuyen a la satisfacción laboral se plantea un estudio empírico en diferentes sectores
en empresas multinacionales que operan en España. Para ello se utiliza la información que
ofrece el portal Glassdoor, a partir de la que se plantea un análisis de correlaciones y un
análisis clúster.
Los resultados de este estudio ofrecen aspectos de interés sobre las diferencias entre distintos
sectores de actividad y entre empresas dentro del contexto de la satisfacción laboral.
[EN] This paper is focused on the analysis of job satisfaction given that its growing impact on the development of organizations nowadays. Then, the main theoretical perspectives about motivation at work and job satisfaction are reviewed. An empirical study on different sectors in multinational companies which operate in Spain has been set out. The aim is establishing whether the factors of job satisfaction are related among them, and checking whether there are differences or not on the workers’ perception about the elements which contribute to job satisfaction. We use the information provided by the portal Glassdoor for this study, conducting also a correlations analysis and a clúster analysis. The results of this study show some aspects of interests about the differences among sectors and among companies within the context of job satisfaction.
