[EN]Genetics is an important branch of biology that studies the transmission of morphological and physiological characters between generations, as well as the mechanisms and molecules that control this transmission. Its great technological advances in medicine, agriculture and the environment make its study essential to promote the scientific literacy of students. Due to its direct application in society, Genetics arouses greater interest in Secondary Education students despite their learning difficulties linked to abstract concepts, previous ideas of the students and the predominance of the traditional teaching methodology that teachers follow in classrooms. This Final Master's Project develops a didactic proposal addressing the curricular contents of the Didactic Unit "Information and Genetic Engineering" destined for 4th year of ESO following a constructivist model. The proposed teaching methodologies allow students to achieve significant learning and critical thinking of the basic concepts of Genetics.
