Importancia de los sistemas de información geográfica en la logística externa

Abstract

[ES] El desarrollo de este trabajo fin de máster estudia el uso de los sistemas de información geográfica como herramienta de análisis y toma de decisiones dentro de las organizaciones, ya que estos se pueden emplear en diferentes áreas; en este caso se tendrá en cuenta, la aplicación en la logística externa de las empresas, ya que en la actualidad el software que es empleado para actividades del ámbito geoespacial cuentan con extensiones y funciones que lo hacen una herramienta de ayuda para otras áreas; es el caso de pgRouting, la cual permite realizar el cálculo de rutas: distancia optima entre dos o más puntos, pero es necesario para su visualización utilizar un software, en este caso se hace uso de QGIS, el cual es compatible con pgRouting y permite ver la información gestionada por pgRouting y dentro del mismo QGIS realizar cálculos por medio del complemento que este dispone para integrarse con pgRouting.

[EN] The development of this master’s thesis, studies the use of geographic information systems as a tool for analysis and decision-making within organizations, since these can be used in different areas. In this case, the application in extern logistic of companies will be taken into account, since currently, the software that is being used for activities of the geospatial scope, has extensions and functions that make it a helpful tool for other areas. This is the case of pgRouting, which allows the calculation of routes, optimum distance between two or more points, but for visualization, is necessary to use a software, in this case, QGIS is used because of the compatibility with pg Routing and also because it allows to show the information which is managed by pgRouting. Another important point is that QGIS make calculations through the complement which has for integrating with pgRouting in this case, the use of QGIS, which is compatible with pgRouting and allows seeing the information managed by pgRouting and performing calculations within QGIS through the complement it has for integrating with pgRouting.
