Resumen
[ES]Este trabajo está centrado en el estudio de los formícidos de la zona del nacimiento del
arroyo de la Cueva, dentro de la sierra de Jabalcuz, grupo sobre el que no se tenía
información anterior en dicha zona. Se han recolectado un total de 50 muestras de hormigas
obteniendo un total de 23 especies distintas (4 de ellas citadas por primera vez en Jaén), las
cuales son analizadas, examinadas y descritas una por una. Dentro de estas especies se
encuentran varios endemismos, 4 ibéricos y 3 más con una distribución iberomauritanica.
Además se estudia la diversidad mirmecológica de la zona, la cual es alta, observando si en
ella afecta de alguna forma el incremento de la altitud.
