Análisis de la participación en juegos electrónicos y de azar en España: estrategias preventivas y/o de tratamiento desde el Trabajo Social

Abstract

Se presenta una revisión bibliográfica/teórica no sistemática acerca de la participación de personas adolescentes y jóvenes españolas en apuestas de juegos de azar, siendo el objetivo indagar en la práctica de estos juegos y analizar el impacto de la prevención y tratamientos existentes. Por ello, es necesario incidir en las personas con edades tempranas, menores de edad principalmente, ya que una adecuada educación se vincula a un correcto desarrollo madurativo, así como a evitar prácticas nocivas en la vida diaria. El juego patológico se incrementa con el paso del tiempo contando actualmente con cifras muy elevadas y sin patrones comunes en cuanto al perfil de la persona jugadora, viéndose esta práctica potenciada por las nuevas Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TICs), así como también por el papel que juega la publicidad incitando a la población al juego mediante estrategias de captación

A non-systematic bibliographic/theoretical review about the participation of Spanish adolescents and young people in gambling bets is presented, with the objective of investigating the practice of these games and analyzing the impact of prevention and existing treatments. For this reason, it is necessary to influence people at an early age, mainly minors, since an adequate education is linked to a correct maturational development, as well as to avoid harmful practices in daily life. Pathological gambling increases with the passage of time, currently with very high figures and without common patterns in terms of the gambler profile, seeing this practice promoted by the new Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), as well as by the role that advertising plays in inciting the population to play through recruitment strategies
