Resumen
[ES]En este trabajo se analiza y describe la situación de una niña de 9 años que presenta el síndrome de Toriello-Carey. Esta es una alteración genética descrita por primera vez en 1988, que se caracteriza por rasgos dismórficos craneofaciales, agenesia del cuerpo calloso, apariencia facial inusual, la secuencia de Pierre Robin y otras anomalías. Se describen las principales características de esta niña, de su familia y del colegio en el que se encuentra. Se realizan entrevistas con los profesionales que trabajan con ella: logopeda, fisioterapeuta y maestra de Pedagogía Terapéutica. Asimismo se le aplica el instrumento de “Calendario del Desarrollo Infantil” que permite determinar el nivel de desarrollo que presenta esta niña en cada una de las principales áreas: desarrollo cognoscitivo, lingüístico, socioemocional,
adaptativo y físico.
[EN]This dissertation analyzes and describes the situation of a 9 year old girl presenting Toriello-Carey syndrome. This is a genetic disorder first described in 1988, characterized by craniofacial dysmorphic features, agenesis of the corpus callosum, unusual facial appearance, Pierre Robin sequence, and other anomalies. The main features of this child are described of his family and the school in which it is located. Interviews were conducted with professionals working with it: speech therapist, physiotherapist and teacher of Therapeutic Education. She was also applied instrument "Calendar Child Development" which determines the level of development that has this child in each of the main areas: cognitive, language, socialemotional, adaptive and physical development.
