Inteligencia Emocional (IE) en acción: Desarrollo y mejora de la IE en adolescentes

Resumen
En la actualidad, el estudio de la Inteligencia Emocional se ha convertido en un objetivo principal de
investigación en diferentes ámbitos y, especialmente en el ámbito educativo. El objetivo de este trabajo
fue aplicar un programa de entrenamiento de la IE en estudiantes de ESO para mejorar habilidades
emocionales y comprobar la eficacia del mismo. Participaron 30 estudiantes en un taller semanal
durante 14 semanas en el que mediante dinámicas y juegos se entrenaron las habilidades de
percepción, facilitación, comprensión y regulación emocional. El nivel de IE de los participantes fue
evaluado antes y después del entrenamiento y los resultados mostraron una mejoría en las cuatro
habilidades emocionales entrenadas, así como en la inteligencia emocional general. Tales resultados
nos permiten validar el programa y acentuar la importancia de la educación emocional en el ámbito
educativo, lo que sin duda va a contribuir al ajuste psicológico óptimo de los adolescentes.
Actually, the study of Emotional Intelligence has become a main objective of research in different fields, especially in the educational field. The objective of this work was to apply an EI training program to high school students to improve their emotional abilities and to verify their effectiveness. Participated 30 students in a weekly workshop for 14 weeks in which the skills of perception, facilitation, understanding and emotional regulation were trained through dynamics and games. The EI level of the participants was assessed before and after training and the results showed an improvement in the four trained emotional skills as well as general emotional intelligence. The results of the results allow us to validate the program and to emphasize the importance of emotional education in the educational field, which will undoubtedly contribute to the optimal psychological adjustment of adolescents.
