[EN]The aim of this work was to know if the state of physical fitness, evaluating strength-velocity profile at the beginning of the season, in a professional football team, It could predict their performance level. As a secondary objective, we raised to describe the strength-velocity profile in the same football team during many seasons where they compete in three different categories. As an initial hypothesis, we set out an optimal performance in strength-velocity profile at the beginning of the season in the regular football league would have a positive influence on the getting classification at the end of the first round of play and the full league. The main discoveries of our study, they confirm our initial hypothesis, because we can observe evidence that show us a better performance in the strength- velocity profile at the beginning it is better related to a better classification. The predictive variables in which a very good relationship has been found are: Vo and sfv.
