(ES) La regulación emocional es un aspecto del que no se habla lo suficiente en la sociedad
actual, siendo una vertiente de gran importancia en la vida de una persona. En la etapa de la
adolescencia las deficiencias en regulación emocional pueden llegar a desencadenar muchos
problemas, conflictos interpersonales e incluso patologías. Este problema puede ser aún mayor
en los menores que han sufrido maltrato o negligencia y han terminado en centros de menores.
Este trabajo presenta una propuesta de intervención para mejorar la regulación emocional
y el desarrollo de distintas habilidades emocionales con el fin de que los adolescentes de estos
centros puedan comprender, gestionar y expresar de forma adecuada sus emociones. Se propone
un programa de nueve sesiones en el que se trabajará la identificación de emociones, la
resolución de problemas y se dotará a los menores de herramientas basadas en mindfulness para
la mejora de estos aspectos.
(EN) It is rather rare to talk about emotion regulation in our current society, even though it plays a crucial role in everyone’s life. A deficient emotion regulation during adolescence can cause grave problems, interpersonal conflicts and even pathologies for adolescents. This issue can even be major among minors who have suffered mistreatment or negligence, and have been sent to juvenile detention centers. This project is intended to propose an intervention with a view to improving emotion regulation and to enhancing the development of different emotional skills among adolescents of juvenile detention centers. In this way, they will be able to understand, to manage, and to express their emotions effectively. A program of nine sessions is proposed where adolescents will learn to identify emotions and to solve problems. Furthermore, important tools based on mindfulness will be provided to adolescents of juvenile detention centers enabling them to improve the aforementioned aspects.
