Resumen
En el presente trabajo se realiza una revisión teórica del constructo del “Flow”. Este concepto hace referencia al estado de placer y disfrute que experimentan las personas durante el desarrollo de una actividad. Este estado emocional positivo se caracteriza por una concentración absoluta e implicación total en la tarea, cuando existe un equilibrio entre las habilidades y retos que presentan las actividades. A lo largo de esta revisión nos centramos en los resultados obtenidos en diferentes investigaciones realizadas tanto en el ámbito deportivo, laboral y musical. Las mismas han mostrado los beneficios que tiene el experimentar el estado del “Flow”, para la resolución de diversos problemas, como pueden ser ansiedad, apatía, etc., demostrando la relación positiva que existe entre este estado y el bienestar psicológico.
In the present work a theoretical review of the construct ‘Flow’ is conducted. This concept makes reference to the state of pleasure and enjoyment that people experience during the development of an activity. This positive emotional state is characterized by a person’s absolute concentration and engagement with the task, where there exists a balance between their abilities and the challenges that the activity presents. Throughout, this study focuses on the results obtained from different investigations carried out in the areas of sport, work and music. These have shown how experiencing the state of “Flow” can be beneficial in the resolution of diverse problems, such as anxiety, apathy, and so on, demonstrating the positive relationship that exists between this state and psychological wellbeing.
