This paper presents the results obtained from the partial study of the walled enclosure of the castle of La Guardia (Jaén). Its archaeological analysis has allowed us to establish that the origin of this occupation dates back to the Iberian-Roman period, considering the possibility that this society had used the same construction material of the Iberian enclosure. On the other hand, it has been verified the inexistence of any activity in the walls during the Visigoth period, reflecting, therefore, a moment of abandonment that will end with the Muslim conquest. Likewise, traces have been found of the medieval Christian entrance, whose position coincides with the hypothesis of certain researchers who established an access in a bend.
