[EN] Burnout syndrome is a recurrent problem in teachers, due to the high and continuous demands to which they are exposed in this profession and the scarcity of resources available to respond to them effectively and successfully. This translates into various psychological and physical symptoms that extend to both the professional and personal spheres. In this context, the present intervention program centered on Emotional Intelligence and Sense of Humor arises, to reduce the burnout in the teaching staff of Obligatory Secondary Education. In order to carry it out, the use of a quasi-experimental design has been considered, with pre and post intervention and follow-up assessment measures. With the implementation of the program, it is expected that, from the training in both strengths, teachers will be able to improve their personal resources, and apply them in the different areas of their lives, and thus reduce the syndrome and its symptoms.
