Resumen
El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado pretende analizar la complejidad que conlleva el proceso de aprender inglés como lengua extranjera para los nativos de español, así como resaltar su importancia. Para alcanzar este propósito, este ensayo se centra en los aspectos más destacables que rodean el proceso de aprendizaje. Primero, se dirige la atención a la relevancia de la lengua materna y su cultura, dos elementos que afectan considerablemente la manera en la que los aprendices estudian una lengua extranjera. Después, se profundiza en el tema principal de este proyecto haciendo una comparación entre el español y el inglés, centrándose en sus sistemas gramaticales, fonológicos, de escritura y de vocabulario para mostrar los aspectos principales del proceso de aprendizaje para los españoles que están aprendiendo inglés como lengua extranjera.
This Final Degree Project is intended to analyse the complexity which entails the process of learning English as a foreign language for Spanish natives, as well as to highlight its importance. In order to fulfil this purpose, this essay focuses on the main aspects concemed with the leaming process. First, it focuses on the relevance of the mother tongue and the first language culture, two elements that considerably affect the way leamers leam a foreign language. Toen, it goes deep into the main topic of this project making a comparison between Spanish and English focusing on the grammar, sound, vocabulary, and writing systems in order to show the main aspects of the leaning process for Spanish natives who are leaming English as a foreign language.
