Resumen
[ES]El presente trabajo busca fomentar el ejercicio de la lectura mediante la presentación
de las fuentes más antiguas en las que se inspira la literatura fantástica: los bestiarios,
manuales en los que la ficción y la realidad se funden para crear criaturas con
características mágicas, tanto puras como malvadas. Así, partiendo de la misma base,
se quiere avanzar en el tiempo hasta las composiciones modernas, haciendo ver a los
alumnos que el ejercicio de la escritura y la lectura requieren tiempo, preparación y
estudio. Entre los objetivos de esta propuesta didáctica, se busca que el alumno utilice
su juicio crítico y sea capaz de entender y señalar las diferencias entre las distintas
criaturas, siendo consciente así de la importante tradición literaria de la que somos
herederos. Además, constituye un útil medio de enseñanza de la lengua española en
contextos juveniles, ya que debido a la temática que trata, presenta de un modo más
atractivo el aprendizaje de la lengua.

[EN]The present work’s main objective is to foment the practice of reading through the presentation of the most ancient sources in which fantastic literature is inspired: the bestiaries, where fiction and reality are mixed to create creatures with magical characteristics, both good and evil. Starting from the same base, it is our desire to come forward in time until reaching the modern compositions, making the students realize that writing and reading need time, preparation, and study. Some objectives of this didactic proposition are to instigate the student’s critical thinking and make them capable of understanding and pointing out the differences between the creatures, being conscious of the important literary tradition of what we are heirs. In addition, it is a great mean to teach Spanish language in young environments, because due to its theme, it shows a more attractive an interactive way to learn the language.
