[EN]The aim of the present study was to analyze the association between active commuting and fitness in Spanish school adolescents. The sample was made up of 543 adolescents, of whom 261 were boys and 282 were girls. Active displacement was evaluated through an ad hoc questionnaire and physical condition was evaluated through tests carried out on adolescents. The results showed that there is no relationship between this active displacement and the physical conditions of adolescents, speed (p = .064), jumping force (p = .683), flexibility (p = .241) and cardiorespiratory endurance (p =, 475). It is concluded that the active displacement of adolescents is not associated with an improvement in their physical abilities regardless of age, sex and BMI. For this reason, it is suggested that further studies and research be carried out on this relationship to see possible comparisons between them.
