From a social work’s perspective, the factors by which integration processes are influenced represent key information for carrying out interventions with migrants. Although migration motives are one of these factors, their influence on integration processes is little investigated. The present research aims to analyze, the way in which migration motives influence integration processes. For this purpose, four focus groups were held, each composed of migrants with the same migration motive. The results obtained reveal that educational migrants experienced facilitated integration in all dimensions, while the opposite was observed among humanitarian migrants. Among labor migrants, the importance that their integration in the labor market means for integration in other dimensions, stands out. When it comes to family migrants, it is notable that the family present in the host country has the potential to influence their integration both positively and negatively
