In the literature focused on work, vigour has been seen traditionally as a construct dimension of engagement, until that authors like Shirom study it as a separate construct, defining within this dimension of physical strength, cognitive liveliness and emotional energy, influencing these in different areas of the person both work and personal. This paper has as main objective to analyse the effect between the vigour and satisfaction in the life of a group of university students. In order to check how these variables are associated, it has worked with a sample of 120 people (68 men and 52 women) aged between 18 and 48 years (M = 22.3, SD = 3.8). The information collection process was conducted with Shirom-Melamed Vigor Measure (SMVM) and Satisfaction Scale with Life (SWL). The results show a positive and significant relation between vigour and life satisfaction (r = .27, p < .01), being the dimension of physical strength which get to explain the variance in satisfaction levels.
