Resumen
El tema abordado en este trabajo fue el análisis DAFO para el cambio a LED en instalaciones de alumbrado público. Este tipo de análisis permite conocer la situación actual de esta tecnología, destacando sus principales fortalezas y debilidades, variables internas, así como las posibles amenazas y oportunidades del sector, variables externas. Para su realización, se han obtenido y unificado información y datos de publicaciones técnicas.
La tecnología LED se presenta como una alternativa a los sistemas de iluminación anteriores en el ámbito del alumbrado público. La larga vida útil y bajo consumo energético que ofrece la señalan como una opción a tener en cuenta, particularmente en lo que concierne al ahorro energético y la eficiencia. Por ello, resulta especialmente interesante su análisis al tratarse de un tema actual y con amplias perspectivas de desarrollo futuro.
The aim of this paper is to perform a SWOT analysis of the technological change to LED lamps in public lighting. This type of analysis allows the acknowledgement of the current situation of this technology, showing its main strengths and weaknesses, internal variables, as well as the possible threats and opportunities of the sector, external variables. To do so, information and data from technical publications have been obtained and unified. LED technology represents an alternative to the previous lighting techniques in the public lighting sector. The long lifespan and low energy consumption that it offers make it an option to take into consideration, especially concerning energy saving and efficiency. Its analysis is especially interesting due to the fact that it is a topic with high future development expectations.
