diferentes.
[EN]The Valdearazo River is a Mediterranean river located in the South mountain chain of the province of Jaen. Born near the El Tercero farmhouse and joins the Navalayegüa River emptying the Quiebrajano River. This work aims to reflect the diversity of aquatic macroinvertebrates in the Valdearazo River and then to determine the ecological status of the river. For this, we performed four monthly samplings in four different sections of the river, in March, April, May and July. The samples were taken using a SurbeR. The results were used to obtain the indices FBILL and IBMWP, which together with IHF, QBR and ECOSTRIMED served to determine the ecological status of different sampling stations. We have analyzed the structure of the different communities by means of taxonomic richness indices, equity indices, dominance indices and rarefaction. We found a total of 64 taxa of aquatic macroinvertebrates distributed in 16 different orders and 48 families.
