Studies with quantitative and qualitative methodology that analyze the effects of AAI on several variables in oncological patients were selected. Results: The variables analyzed in the selected studies show improvements, especially for the levels of anxiety, stress and depression. Conclusions: The AAI in the oncological area provide a variety of beneficial effects in these patients, but given the scarcity of studies, the results do not allow us to draw solid conclusions.
