Resumen
Este estudio trata de recopilar información sobre la literatura relacionada con la psicología y la música. El
artículo se dividirá en tres partes. En la primera parte, se explicará el sistema de memoria, sus
componentes fundamentales y sus funciones. Después, se ampliará la información sobre cómo afecta la
música sobre la memoria episódica y procedimental. En la segunda parte, se explicarán los diferentes
estudios que revelan que los músicos tienen algunas ventajas sobre los no músicos. Específicamente, se
trabajarán estudios sobre la memoria de trabajo (visual, especial y verbal). Se analizará un caso práctico
aplicado a los estudiantes de piano con el título profesional. Además, se comprobará si los músicos
presentan el mismo nivel de susceptibilidad a la interferencia. Finalmente, se hablará de la influencia de la
música para generar emociones, y, para terminar, se intentarán aportar recomendaciones a los próximos
estudios para aclarar la relación entre ambas disciplinas
This study tries to collect information about the literature that related psychology and music. The article will be divided in three parts. In the first part, I will explain memory system, what are her fundamental components and her functions. After that, I will enlarge information about how affect music over episodic and procedural memory. In the second part, I will explain the different studies that reveal musicians have some advantages over non-musicians. Specifically, I will work studies about working memory (visual, special and verbal). Particularly, I will analyze a practical case applied to piano students with they have the professional degree. In addition, I will see if the musicians present the same level of susceptibility to the interference. Finally, I will talk about the influence of music to generate emotions, and to finish, I will try to search some recommendations to next studies, to clarify the relation between both disciplines.
