[EN] In this Master Dissertation, we have highlighted the importance of the English language as a mea ns of communication within Europe. We have also underscored the importance of the respect to and knowledge of foreign cultures. With this cultural and linguistic knowledge, students will be able to interact with people from different countries and cultures, respecting their customs and traditions. To achieve these objectives, we have designed a didactic unit based on the methodological principies of the cooperative learning, including cultural contents. Especial attention has been paid to our students' motivation and autonomy. Furthermore, we have underscored that the teacher must not be seen as the centre of the class, but a resource or a guide. Additionally, a theoretical framework far both methodologies has been provided together with practica! activities. Moreover, the elements of a didactic unit have been explained in detail. Finally, an eightsession-unit has been described.
