INTRODUCCIÓN A LA GEOMETRÍA ANALÍTICA. EN BUSCA DE UN ENFOQUE NO RUPTURISTA

Abstract

[ES] La Geometría Analítica es una rama de las Matemáticas que se empieza a aprender en 4o de la ESO, en un momento en que la Geometría deja de verse desde exclusivamente desde un enfoque sintético, basado en las propiedades de las figuras y cuerpos geométricos, para introducir un lenguaje algebraico que defina estos objetos en términos de lugares geométricos sobre un sistema de referencia dado. Tradicionalmente este salto produce una ruptura y un gran aislamiento con respecto al resto de ramas de las Matemáticas que no es tal, debido a la abstracción y a la dificultad para comprender su aplicabilidad. El presente trabajo fin de máster afronta este hecho tratando de buscar las herramientas con las que diseñar una unidad didáctica, adaptándose al perfil, las necesidades y el contexto del alumnado, a la vez que integra y lleva a la práctica los saberes aprendidos en este curso académico.

[EN] Analytical geometry is a mathematical subject that begins to be learnt during the 4th year of ESO, at a time when Geometry is no longer seen exclusively from a synthetic approach based on the properties of geometric figures and bodies, to introduce an algebraic language that defines these objects in terms of geometric places given a coordinate system. Traditionally, this step produces a break and a great isolation with respect to the rest of the mathematical fields, which should not be the case, due to abstraction and difficulty in understanding its applicability. The present master's thesis addresses this fact by trying to find the tools to design a teaching unit, being adapted to the profile, needs and context of the students, while integrating and putting into practice the knowledge learned during this academic year.
