The development of mining in Linares will cause foreign businessmen to come and try their luck in the city. Due to the great amount of foreign population that was in Linares, it was necessary to build private homes, its own vice-consulate and most remarkable, the English Cemetery or Protestant, since they did not share the same religion and therefore could not be buried In the same place.
