Resumen
[ES] Actualmente el sector turístico presenta una considerable
relevancia sociocconómica tanto a nivel mundial como nacional.
Uno de los grandes beneficiados del turismo español es el sector
hotelero que alberga a más del 90% de los turistas que visitan cada
año nuestro país en sus distintos hoteles repartidos por todo el
territorio español. Esta importancia del sector hotelero nos ha
llevado a profundizar en su análisis para conocer el nivel de
eficiencia con el que operan las empresas hoteleras. Para ello, el
estudio se realiza a través del método DEA y se centra en La Costa
del Sol, región costera en el sur de España, la cual recibe la
mayoría de los turistas del país.
[EN] Currently the tourism sector has a considerable socio-economic relevance, worldwide and nationally. One of the big beneficed on the Spanish tourism is the hotel industry which reach more than 90% of tourists who visit each year our country at diverse hotels throughout the Spanish arca. The importance of the hotel industry has led us to a deep analysis to determine the level of operating efficiency with hotel companies. The study is performed through the DEA method and focuses on the "Costa del Sol", coastal region in southem Spain, which receives the most number of tourists in the country.
