Resumen
[ES] Este trabajo se centra en el turismo senior, al cual no se le había dado especial relevancia hasta hace unos años a pesar de mostrar grandes oportunidades para este sector. Esto se debe a que los senior actuales son más favorables a realizar viajes, ya que lo ven como una necesidad y no como un privilegio, y disponen de más medios que hace algunas décadas. Aunque este segmento del mercado turístico presenta grandes oportunidades, es necesario adecuar la oferta turística a ellos. El objetivo de este trabajo es identificar el perfil del turista senior, es decir, las características que estos turistas tienen y las motivaciones que les animan a realizar estos desplazamientos, para lo cual se realizó una encuesta a 48 personas pertenecientes a este grupo para conseguir ofrecer a este segmento una oferta turística que se adecúe a ellos.
[EN] This work focuses on senior tourism, which had not had special relevance few years ago despite of showing great opportunities for this sector. This situation is because current seniors are more favorable to travels, because they see it as a necessity and not as a privilege, moreover they have more means than a few decades ago. Although this segment of tourism market presents great opportunities, it is necessary to adapt the tourism offer them. The aim of this work is to identify the profile of the senior tourist, that is to say, the characteristics that these tourists have and the motivations that encourage them to make these travels, for which a survey was conducted to 48 people belonging to this group to get offer this segment a tourist offer that suits them.
