In the following communication we will try to outline the historical career of Social Work in Spain. For this, we will count on the reading and study of two professional autobiographies of recognized social workers: The social work that I have lived, from 1939 to 1987, of Montserrat Colomer I Salmons, and Sociopolitical experiences and social work, my little grain of sand, of Rosa Domènech. Through their work experiences and personal reflections, they provide us with valuable material to understand the methodological and formative evolution that will lead to the professionalization of Social Work in Spain.
