This type of installation, commonly known as "District Heating" or "Red de Calor", will be capable of supplying more than 560 (MWh) of thermal energy annually, the amount required to cover the heating and DHW needs of this neighbourhood. This energy generated will be of a renewable nature as it will be produced with a boiler whose fuel is biomass of residual origin and zero kilometre. The promotion of this project is the responsibility of the company Almendras Alhambra SCA, whose main business activity is the sale of almonds in pipes obtained from the splitting of the same in its own facilities and which will benefit from the economic return from the sale of this energy.
