In this work i calibrate a one-dimensional hydraulic model for rivers with an arbitrary cross-section that allows running numerical simulations and predicting the water stages in minutes. The model is much more efficient that other alternaticves based on two-and three-dimensional models. Results of the numerical simularions are verified with instrumental measurements in gauge station as well as sedimentodological and botanical evidence of the inundated areas.
