Iconografía de Santa Ana enseñando a leer a la Virgen María

Abstract

(ES) Este trabajo se centra en la vida de Santa Ana, de la que poco se sabe, ya que nada se dice de ella en el Antiguo Testamento, por lo que se recurre a los Evangelios Apócrifos, y a la tradición. La iglesia ha querido impedir la representación de Santa Ana en el arte, aludiendo a que no se trataba de un episodio evangélico, sin embargo, no se ha podido impedir la veneración que la Santa ha suscitado a lo largo de la historia y que incluso ha llegado a nuestros días. Esto es patente a través del arte y de las numerosas obras que tenemos acerca de ella. En el trabajo se indaga en la figura de la Santa, en su vida, en las dificultades que tuvo para ser madre y en cómo ha sido retratada en el arte, principalmente en el papel de educadora de su hija.

(EN) This work will focus about the life of Sainte Anne, about which little is known, because the Old Testament does not say anything about her, so it is resorted to the Apocryphal Gospel and to the tradition. The Church wanted to avoid the representation of Saint Anne in art, alluding that she wasn´t an evangelical episode, nevertheless, it couldn´t be preventede the veneration that Saint aroused along the history and even has reached our days. This is patent trough art and the numerous works of art that we have today about her. In this work is researched the figure of Saint, her life, the difficulties that she had to be mother an how has been portrayed in art, mainly role of educator of her daughter.
