Análisis de la novela Principio y fin de Naguib Mahfuz

Abstract

(ES) Con el presente trabajo de investigación busco profundizar en la literatura y cine árabe y, concretamente, en el escritor egipcio Naguib Mahfuz. Para ello, comienzo estableciendo una investigación del origen de la literatura árabe. A continuación, realizo un estudio sobre la biografía de Naguib Mahfuz para conocer así sus etapas y obras más destacadas, bajo mi punto de vista. Así como el impacto en las traducciones tras este autor ganar el Premio Nobel de Literatura. Finalmente, he realizado un análisis de su obra Principio y fin tras la lectura de esta. Asimismo, me he permitido hacer una comparación entre la novela y la adaptación de la versión cinematográfica del director mexicano Arturo Ripstein.

(EN) With this research work I seek to delve into Arab literature and cinema and, specifically, into the Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfuz. To do this, I begin by establishing an investigation of the origin of Arabic literature. Next, I carry out a study on the biography of Naguib Mahfuz in order to know his stages and most outstanding works from my point of view. As well as the impact on translations after this author won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Finally, I have made an analysis of his work Principio y fin after reading it. Likewise, I have allowed myself to make a comparison between the novel and the adaptation of the film version by Mexican director Arturo Ripstein.
