EJEMPLOS DE INTEGRACIÓN DE LA POBLACIÓN GITANA EN EL ÁMBITO LABORAL, SANITARIOY ESCOLAR

Resumen
Se recogen las principales características de la población gitana en España y se clasifican en varias ramas, la primera introductoria, para conocer a esta minoría (historia, tradiciones, cultura…), después, se habla de cómo se integra la comunidad gitana en nuestro país a través del trabajo, la sanidad y la educación.
En los ámbitos mencionados anteriormente, se habla de las características principales como por ejemplo el absentismo escolar y su motivación, o el alto número de población joven y gitana que está sin un oficio.
Los gitanos pertenecen a una minoría étnica y conviven en la comunidad y se hacen visibles continuamente, ya que destacan por motivos de marginalidad, condiciones de pobreza, pocos hábitos de trabajo, de salud, etc.
El papel del Trabajo Social en la comunidad gitana es muy importante, se llevan a cabo programas o proyectos, planificados y dirigidos por trabajadores/as sociales y que contribuyen al bienestar de esta minoría
