Resumen
[ES] El género Aphelenchoides es un grupo cosmopolita de nematodos que contiene un gran número de
especies que se encuentran de forma libre en el suelo, parasitando a plantas o bien asociadas a
insectos. El número de especies ha variado a lo largo del tiempo debido a una falta de caracterización
de su morfología, constituyendo un grupo muy heterogéneo. Por ello, es evidente la necesidad de una
revisión profunda recopilando todas sus especies en un compendio del género. Para ello, se requiere
elaborar una lista de especies válidas y hacer un estudio morfológico de ellas. Los resultados muestran
que existe una variación en la morfología apareciendo cuatro patrones morfológicos respecto a la forma
del mucrón de la cola de las hembras. Se observa que la mayoría de especies fueron descritas en Rusia e
Irán, tatándose, en general, de especies anfimícticas y, un menor porcentaje, de especies
partenogenéticas.
[EN] The genus Aphelenchoides is a cosmopolitan nematode group, which contains a large numerous of species appearing free-living in the soil, parasitizing plants or associated with insects. The number of species has changed over time due to a lack of characterization of their morphology, constituting a very heterogeneous group, therefore, it is evident the need for a thorough review compiling all species in a compendium of the genus. For this reason, it is necessary to elaborate a list of valid species and to do a morphological study of their species. The results show the presence of a variation of its morphology appearing four morphological patterns with respect to the female tail mucro. On the other hand, it is observed that most species were described from Russia and Iran, consisting, in general, of amphimictic species and, a lower percentage, parthenogenetic species.
