In this project, we put forward an analytical view on Diego de Silva Velazquez, painter of King Philip IV, during his lifetime. Above all else, we concentrate in the two travels he did to Italy: the first one was to train and learn about the painting there, which resulted in influence in his works; the second one was to buy some pieces, being Velazquez a trained and admired painter himself. We open a discussion with an investigation with various biographies to show the works created by the painter in both Italy and Spain, showing this influence and his life focusing on those two or even three travels to the Italian Peninsula.
