In the present proyect, it will be shown a proposal of a future family intervention in schizophrenia, which consists of group therapy model that follows the reduction of Expressed Emotion in the families of the schizophrenic patient and other related complaints such as anxiety and depression; and, at the same time, the increase of quality of life perceived by the families and the patients (all these aspects will be measured by standardised tests). It treats about a mixed model with an between-group variable (experimental group and control group) and an intra-subject variable (pre, post and four monitoring times in each group). It will be done an ANOVA test for a factorial mixed design for a between-group variable with two levels (experimental group and control group) and an intra-subject variable with six levels (pre, post, monitoring at 3 months, monitoring at 6 months, monitoring at 12 months and monitoring at 24 months) to proof if there exist differences between the groups and among the different moments where it will be tested the analyzed variables (anxiety, depression, quality of life and Expressed Emotion). In conclusion, what this study tries to find out is that when families reduce their Expressed Emotion level, there is a decrease in schizophrenia relapses.
