The ancient Egypt is a civilization with a wide range of features, which includes heterogeneous realities of the life. In the present Thesis Degree we present a theoric approach to one of those: the administration as multidimensional instrument and mechanism oriented to organize and manage territories and resources since the 4th millennium BC, when the social complexity arises in the Egyptian space. With the emergence of the State, a parallel process that runs with the birth of the administration, we carry out a careful analysis about the current knowledge of the administration during the Old Kingdom period. The result is a theoric and critic compendium about the most relevant administrative elements of that period in order to precise titles, administrative departments and historic and historiographical difficulties of the research.
