Resumen
El nivel de presión arterial es muy importante mantenerlo dentro de los parámetros normales, ya que una presión arterial elevada mantenida en el tiempo puede derivar en otras enfermedades, como pueden ser, ataque al corazón, aneurismas, enfermedades arteriales, enfermedad renal, daño ocular, insuficiencia cardiaca y derrame cerebral. El objetivo será estudiar la presión arterial y los niveles de testosterona junto con otras variables de diferentes alumnos, para comprobar si existe relación entre ellas. El resultado final del estudio indicó que los alumnos con los niveles de testosterona más elevados, su presión sistólica media era más alta, lo cual podría afectar al desarrollo de enfermedades cardiovasculares. También existe una relación entre testosterona y horas de sueño en hombres, ya que individuos con más horas de sueño tienen los niveles de testosterona más elevados. Con el ejercicio físico más intenso también aumentan los niveles de testosterona.
The blood pressure level is very important to keep it with in normal parameters, since high blood pressure maintained over time can lead to other diseases, such as heart attack, aneurysms, arterial diseases, kidney disease, eye damage, heart failure and stroke. The objective will be to study blood pressure and testosterone levels along with other variables from different students, to check if there is a relationship between them. The final result of the study indicated that students with the highest testosterone levels, their mean systolic pressure was higher, which could affect the development of cardiovascular diseases. There is also a relationship between testosterone and hours of sleep in men, since individuals with more hours of sleep have the highest testosterone levels. With more intense physical exercise, testosterone levels also increase.
