[ES] El presente trabajo de investigación, realizado en el laboratorio de materiales de la Escuela Politécnica Superior de Linares de la Universidad de Jaén, tiene como objetivo estudiar el comportamiento de nuevas mezclas SMA (Stone Mastic Aphalt) en su uso como firmes de aeropuertos. Con el objetivo de contribuir a un desarrollo sostenible, para la realización de dichas mezclas se han usado áridos de tipo escorias, los cuales son áridos reciclados procedentes de subproductos de las siderurgias de acerías de alto horno eléctrico. Se han usado tanto escorias negras, árido grueso, como escorias blancas, filler. Para obtener unos resultados contractados, además de mezclas con este tipo de áridos se han realizado otras con áridos corneanos d etipo cuadrado usados frecuen temente en construcción de carreteras y filler calizo. Esto ha permitido comparar los resultados relativos a estabilidad, deformación índice de huecos, etc. entre ambos tipos de áridos
[EN] The testing of a new type of mixtures (Stone Mastic Asphalt), which belong to the group of the hot mix asphalt, in order to use them on road surfaces of airports is carried out in this Master thesis. The main characteristics of SMA mixtures are their surability thanks to which can be reduced the conservation works in airports roads, and their safety due to their texture that improves the adherence between wheel and road. Those characteristics are essential in airport roads for ensuring passenger safety and comfort. Furthermore, in order to contribute towards sustainable development, the mixtures have been made using recycled aggregates. In fact, it is possible obtain the same technical characteristics, or even better, with recycled aggregates than with typical aggregates using in civil engineering as demonstrated in this thesis
