[EN] To determine the relationship between nutritional status and level of physical activity with the different parameters used in the diagnosis of sarcopenia in postmenopausal women. Additionally, an international physical activity questionnaire and a Mini Nutritional Assessment were used. The three parameters used for the diagnosis of sarcopenia, strength and muscle mass, and gait speed, with respect to the mean score of the IPAQ and the MNA, indicate a level of moderate physical activity and a normal nutritional state, the bivariate correlations between the three dependent variables and the independent and confounding variables used. It was possible to observe how muscle strength, the main indicator or parameter in the diagnosis of sarcopenia according to the EWGSOP-2, was independently associated with age and with the percentage of body fat The results of this research work showed that a poorer nutritional status is negatively associated with low physical function, which indicates a level of severity of sarcopenia in postmenopausal women. Likewise, no relationships were found between the level of physical activity and the parameters that define sarcopenia, but there were relationships between age and obesity with walking speed.
