[EN] This project focuses on the importance of the use of literary text in the Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL) classroom with young learners. We will broach the many possibilities teachers have within the selection of texts, taking into account factors such as the age of their students and the previous knowledge on the language of the latest. Through this essay, I want to bring to light the reasons why I think the use of Literature in the SFL classroom is not only a simple entertainment element, but it helps the students improve their competences in Spanish as well.
