Resumen
[ES]Este trabajo se basa en un recorrido histórico por la infancia, la discapacidad, y, de forma específica, la sordera infantil. En primer lugar, se analiza el proceso de cambio por el cual ha pasado el concepto de infancia, cambio y progreso que llegan hasta nuestros días. Los derechos de la infancia, también son objeto de estudio de este trabajo al igual que el cambio biológico y las teorías que ello implica y, por último, en esta primera parte se mencionan numerosos problemas con y de la infancia. En cuanto a la discapacidad, se lleva a cabo un recorrido histórico, que a su vez compara el progreso de ambas, infancia e infancia discapacitada. A continuación, se realiza una revisión de la historia de las personas sordas y los avances sociales en su contexto. Por último, se plasman los resultados de dos entrevistas realizadas a dos familias con una hija sorda.
[EN]This essay is based on the historical overview through childhood, disability, and particularly, childhood deafness. Firstly, the process of change and progress of the concept childhood which continue to our days has been analysed. The childhood’s rights have been also taken into account in this essay as well as the biological change and the theories supporting it. Lastly, in this first part, many problems affecting childhood are mentioned. Regarding disability, a historical overview is conducted, which in turn compare the progress of both, childhood and disabled childhood. A revision of the history of deaf people and the social advances in its context is carried out below. Finally, the results of two interviews conducted with two families with a deaf daughter are set out in this essay.
