[EN] The present study presents an intervention program in a socio-educational context as a social inclusion strategy (embedded into a youth accompaniment and job search program), that comprises three points of view or perspectives: on first hand, we aim to promote pro-social behaviour in youth at risk of social exclusion. On second hand, a bidirectional benefit of stray animals will be procured, as the youth will work through learning the behaviour of stray cats, as well as learning the current reality of stray cat colonies, while “in situ” labour will be provided in relation with animal rights associations. Lastly, linked to this program, we realize a research project proposal, which will evaluate the differences offered by the possible human-animal bond, comprising three treatments: “with intervention cat”, with “only colony animals” or “no animal contact”. Expected results for the present program are an increment of social abilities, emotional intelligence, psychological wellbeing, empathy and animal empathy between pre-test and post-test program in a greater degree when compared to other participants on the accompaniment program. We expect greater results in the research project program “with intervention cat”, mainly in youth with the greater problematics. Keywords: animal-human bond, social education, animal assisted intervention, feral cats, prosocial behavior, youth at-risk
