(ES) El presente trabajo de fin de grado proporciona, por medio del uso de corpus de carácter lingüístico,
descripciones acerca de usos de non-finite clauses existentes en producciones realizadas por
estudiantes españolas que se encuentran aprendiendo inglés como lengua extranjera. Así pues,
fenómenos tales como el contexto en que las non-finite clauses aparecen, su frecuencia, o el número
de errores cometidos serán abordados. Con el propósito de conseguir los objetivos mencionados, y
tras haber explorado parte de la literatura ya publicada y relacionada con la materia, producciones
textuales reales tomadas de exámenes oficiales en los niveles B1, B2 y C1 serán empleadas,
garantizando así la fiabilidad de los resultados obtenidos. No obstante, como consecuencia de
limitaciones temporales y de recursos, se debería mencionar que una mayor y más profunda
investigación relativa a los asuntos aquí analizados sería bienvenida.
(EN) This BA Dissertation provides corpus-based descriptions about uses of non-finite subordinate clauses made by Spanish students who are learning English as a foreign language. Indeed, phenomena such as the context in which non-finite clauses appear, their frequency, the number of errors committed, etc. will be addressed. In order to achieve the goals just mentioned, and after having explored some of the literature already published and dealing with similar matters, real textual productions taken from official B1, B2, and C1 exams will be employed, thus ensuring that the results obtained are reliable. Nonetheless, as a result of time and resource limitations, it should be pointed out that a larger and deeper research regarding the issues here analyzed would be welcome.
