POBREZA, DESIGUALDAD Y DISCRIMINACIÓN ENTRE LAS MUJERES DE ETNIA GITANA

Abstract

A lo largo de este trabajo se realizará una revisión de las diversas dificultades a las que han de hacer frente en nuestra sociedad las mujeres de etnia gitana. Por un lado, se abordará la situación del pueblo gitano y el rol que cumplen las mujeres en el mismo, además de analizarse las circunstancias de desigualdad y pobreza que rodean a este grupo social; a continuación, se revisarán también un conjunto de factores psicosociales que pueden ayudar a entender la situación de desventaja y vulnerabilidad socioeconómica en las que viven las mujeres de etnia gitana. Por otro lado, se abordarán los diferentes tipos de discriminación que pueden sufrir estas mujeres y la función del trabajo social con respecto a esta problemáticaThroughout this work, a review of the various difficulties that Roma women have to face in our society will be carried out. On the one hand, the situation of the Roma people and the role that women play in it will be addressed, in addition to analyzing the circumstances of inequality and poverty that surround this social group; Next, a set of psychosocial factors that can help to understand the situation of disadvantage and socioeconomic vulnerability in which Roma women live will also be reviewed. On the other hand, the different types of discrimination that these women may suffer and the role of social work with respect to this problem will be addressed
