[EN] Photovoltaic solar energy is in a period of great growth and development thanks to its improvements in performance, and its competitive prices. However, the generation of photovoltaic energy presents an important decoupling with the demand, produced by its very nature of being generated, and the human factors that form the demand. This decoupling itself determines an upper limit on the useful generation capacity obtainable through this technology, which is called as limit of the coverage of electricity demand. The main objective of this project has been to obtain said demand coverage limit for mainland Spain for different configurations of facilities. To do this, PVGIS tool has been used, and a photovoltaic generation network has been simulated with different distributions, which allow us to know how much energy it would be possible to generate in the Spanish network using photovoltaics.
