En el intento de descubrir qué áreas deben de trabajarse para erradicar la violencia de género, la televisión supone un medio de comunicación y un mecanismo socializador que, debido a su considerable influencia, se convierte en un campo imprescindible de análisis. El presente trabajo fin de grado tiene como principal objetivo estudiar qué representación de las mujeres y los hombres aparece en la cadena de televisión más visualizada. Para ello, se ha realizado una investigación cualitativa empleando la técnica de análisis de contenido de las emisiones grabadas durante siete días consecutivos en horario prime time, de las 22 a las 24 horas. Se ha podido comprobar que las imágenes que se emiten no están en consonancia con lo que desde la legislación se regula, siendo perpetuadoras de la desigualdad de género. Ante esta evidencia, la disciplina del Trabajo Social tiene mucho que decir y proponer para cambiar esa realidad
In the attempt to find which areas should be worked on to eradicate gender violence, television is a means of communication and a socializing mechanism that, due to its considerable influence, becomes an important field of analysis. The main objective of this final degree project is to study what representation of women and men appears on the most watched television channel. For this purpose, a qualitative research has been carried out using the technique of content analysis of the broadcasts recorded during seven consecutive days in prime time, from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. It has been verified that the images that are broadcast are not in accordance with what is regulated from the legislation, being perpetuators of gender inequality. Given this evidence, the discipline of Social Work has much to say and propose to change this reality
