contaminadas.
[EN]The nematodes are a group of invertebrate animals which show a great diversity and dwell in all kinds of habitats. This zoological group is being used as a water quality bioindicator. The study has been based on two samples collected on the Frio River in the area of its source and another one by the village Los Villares and two samples taken from the waterfall near its source and after passing near a residential area. After analyzing the two areas, we could observe that the orders Dorylaimida y Rhabditida are the most common and diversified, while Mononchida, Triplonchida, Monhystera and Plectida are hardly ever found. Given these groups, the order Dorylaimida commonly appears in both waters streams before passing by the residential area. As for the members of the order Rhabditida, specially the infraorder known as Diplogasteromorpha, usually dwell in polluted waters.
